Project value and sources of funding
The total value of the project is RON 26,911,378.52 including VAT, equivalent to RON 22,253,887.31 excluding VAT.
Of the total project value:
- RON 6,879,237.12 represents the maximum amount provided through the Modernization Fund;
- RON 20,032,141.40 represents the beneficiary’s contribution.
The project is financed under Key Programme 1 - Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Storage, through the call for projects entitled “Supporting investments in new capacities for the production of electricity produced from renewable sources for self-consumption, related to the 2nd call based on a competitive bidding procedure”.
Project location
The investment will be implemented in Ploiești Municipality, Prahova County, on land owned by Rompetrol Rafinare S.A., located at 146 Văleni Street and identified by Land Register Extract no. 124289. The land has an area of approximately 85,000 m².
Investment components
The project proposed by Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. aims to build a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption, with an installed capacity of 4.8 MW, within the Ploiești – Vega Refinery work site in Prahova County. An energy storage system with a total capacity of 8.944 MWh will also be installed. The investment falls within the field of renewable energy production and aligns with national and European objectives regarding energy transition, decarbonization, and increasing the share of green energy in gross final consumption.
