Located on the Petromidia platform, this laboratory specializes in analyzing the quality of polymers, processed polymer products, and other petrochemical compounds. Activities are structured by technical units according to the type of test.
Types of testing performed:
Physico-mechanical, thermal, optical, and rheological testing for polymers and plastics
Legislative compliance testing, including determination of heavy metals (Cd, Cr, Hg, Pb) and specific/global migration tests, in accordance with Directive 10/2011/EC on food contact materials
Quality analysis for polymer-grade ethylene and propylene, including impurity detection by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry
Evaluation of physical properties of natural and fuel gases
Determinations for other petrochemical products such as methanol, benzene, etc.
