"Children are the beneficiaries of many of our projects, whether we are talking about health, education or social initiatives. We have partnerships with high schools and the University of Ploieşti for internship programs, dual education or equipping laboratories, for all who aim at a career in energy, but through this recently completed project we also address younger children, offering them modern playgrounds with high standards of quality and safety. ” - Iskander Abdibaitov, Chief Corporate Development Officer, Rompetrol.

"Rompetrol is for Ploieşti a reliable partner, receptive to the needs of the local community, oriented towards important projects, meant to modernize the city.

Through the investments carried out, last year, we managed to develop the green dimension of Ploieşti and thus improve the degree of urban comfort. We continue to count on the development of this partnership and on the availability of Rompetrol to support major initiatives for the community benefit. I reaffirm the desire to continue and optimize the collaboration relations of the City Hall of Ploieşti with the local business community, in the sense of implementing investments and projects with socio-economic impact, for the good of our city and citizens " - Andrei Liviu Volosevici, mayor of Ploiesti.

The new playgrounds comply with the quality and safety standards in force, and all the equipment placed is certified according to HG 435/2010. Benches, slides, swings, and other pleasantly colored play sets are installed on surfaces paved with elastic rubber tiles for increased user safety.

The investment in this project is 788,000 RON and was made by Rominserv, a member company of the KMG International Group (Rompetrol), in partnership with the City Hall of Ploieşti and the Dăruieşte Aripi Association.

Also in 2022, Rompetrol gives to the use of Ploieşti City Hall its own building, with an area of 730 sq m, from 98 Romană Street, which will function from autumn of this year as a nursery space for the care of over 70 children.

Also this year, Rompetrol will continue the afforestation actions in Ploieşti. In 2021 during spring and autumn seasons, the company planted over 13,000 seedlings of different species.

In Prahova County Rompetrol operates the Vega Refinery, the oldest local unit, with over 110 years of experience, which has evolved from a classic oil refining unit into a producer and supplier of special products obtained exclusively from semi-finished materials, delivered by Petromidia Refinery, and eight gas stations.
