Following the incident that occurred yesterday at the Mild Hydrocracking (MHC) unit, Rompetrol Rafinare started an internal analysis to assess the operational situation.
Based on first estimates, the impact on the refinery's production activities is low/moderate. The Petromidia refinery continues to operate, the other units in the technological flow being secured.

The MHC plant is isolated from the production flow, its role being taken over by other units. Depending on the internal evaluations, the company will adapt the specific refining recipes for operating at the optimal capacity of the production units.

Rompetrol Rafinare will continue to provide necessary products on the Romanian market.

After the ignition was extinguished in safe conditions according to the intervention plans in such situations, the local teams and public authorities have actively implemented precautionary measures, in order to prevent any re-ignition, including unit cooling maneuvers.
