ROMPETROL RAFINARE S.A., hereinafter referred to as the Beneficiary, tax identification number 1860712, registered with the Trade Register under no. J1991000534130, with its registered office in the Town of Năvodari, 215 Năvodari Boulevard, Administrative Pavilion, Constanța County, Romania, announces the launch of the project entitled “Construction of a ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant, energy storage facility and transformer substations in Prahova County, Ploiești Municipality”, SMIS Code 351959, financed through the Modernisation Fund, Key Programme 1: Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Storage, under the Call “Support for investments in new electricity generation capacities from renewable sources for self-consumption, related to the second call based on a competitive bidding procedure”, Call Code: PFM/527/PFM_P1/NA, in accordance with Financing Agreement no. 1685/24.07.2026.
General objective of the project: To increase electricity generation capacity from renewable sources through the construction by Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. of a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 4.80 MW (4.99356 MWp – DC) within the premises of the Vega Refinery in Ploiești Municipality, Prahova County, thereby contributing to the achievement of the energy transition and carbon emission reduction objectives. An energy storage system with a total capacity of 8.944 MWh will also be installed.
The total value of the Project is RON 26,911,378.52, including VAT, of which RON 22,253,887.31 excluding VAT.
The maximum amount financed through the Modernisation Fund is RON 6,879,237.12.
The amount financed by the Beneficiary is RON 20,032,141.40.
Project location: The investment will be implemented in Ploiești Municipality, Prahova County, on land owned by Rompetrol Rafinare S.A., located at 146 Văleni Street and identified by Land Register Extract no. 124289. The land has an area of approximately 85,000 m², is located within the built-up area and has the land-use category “yards and buildings”.
