The entire team of our company expresses its profound sorrow for the loss of our colleague, I.B, following the Monday event, August 22, from Petromidia platform.
In this difficult period, we are together with the families of our colleagues. The management of the company was in close contact with their families during the night, as well as with the medics. The representatives of our company showed their availability in offering the full support for the treatment of the injured, as well as the availability to cover all the costs needed for the transfer abroad, if the medics decide it is needed.
Based on the measurements on air emissions, following the fire, there were no recorded values that endanger the lives of employees and communities from the vicinity of the refinery or tourists, fact certified by CBRN analysis (Chemical, Biological, Radiologic and Nuclear parameters).
A team of specialists are analyzing the circumstances that lead to the event, in order to determine the cause of it.
The representatives of the refinery offered to the authorities all the documents needed for the investigations carried out in respect with the law.
At this moment, Petromidia refinery is operated at a reduced capacity.
Our company complies with safety legislation and work protection, as well as the environmental regulations.
