KMG International (Rompetrol) continues the Together We Grow – Rompetrol Traineeship program, now in its 26th edition, offering students and graduates access to practical experience in the energy industry and support in building a solid career in the field.

The program runs from August to September and combines theoretical sessions, practical activities, and volunteer work, designed to develop professional skills as well as collaboration, communication, and accountability.

This year, 100 participants will join the program. For the first time, two graduates of the dual‑education system have also been included, coming from a cohort developed and supported by KMGI together with Ovidius University of Constanţa.

More than 60 experienced colleagues from the Group’s member companies will directly guide the trainees’ development, acting as mentors and providing support in deepening theoretical knowledge and in practical activities carried out at the Petromidia Năvodari, Vega Ploieşti, Rompetrol Well Services Ploieşti platforms, and at the Rompetrol Downstream headquarters. Direct interaction with industry professionals will enable participants to understand the processes, standards, and responsibilities specific to the energy sector.

Participants come from major Romanian universities: Ovidius University Constanţa (34), Petroleum‑Gas University of Ploieşti (21), Maritime University of Constanţa (16), Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi (8), Politehnica University of Bucharest (8), Mircea cel Bătrân Naval Academy Constanţa (6), Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (3), Babeş‑Bolyai University Cluj‑Napoca (3), and Dunărea de Jos University Galaţi (1).

The program is supported by Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol Quality Control, Rominserv, Rompetrol Energy, Rompetrol Well Services, Midia Marine Terminal, and Rompetrol Downstream, companies that contribute to establishing a comprehensive learning and practical training framework.

At the end of the program, participants will undergo a technical evaluation, and many of them will have the opportunity to be employed within KMG International (Rompetrol).

Over the program’s 25‑year history, the KMGI Group has supported the development of more than 1,900 young people, hundreds of whom are now contributing to the advancement of Romania’s energy industry.
