Today, after executing specific maintenance works, an ignition occurred in the Mild Hydrocracking Unit (MHC).
The employees working in the facility immediately reported the incident to the internal emergency service and to the refinery's dispatcher, who in his turn informed the authorities, as per the procedure in place.
There are no victims, all employees of the unit, as well as employees from other sections of the refinery, were evacuated.
Until the arrival of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations special vehicles, the first interventions were carried out by the firefighters of the Petromidia Refinery, who managed to limit the impact.
In collaboration with the authorities, all possible efforts are being made for extinguishing the ignition and remedy the situation.
